Shaw Treatment blends natural and organic ingredients with science to provide you with the safest products possible for your sensitive skin. Body care products need to have preservatives to prevent dangerous bacteria, fungi and molds from contaminating the product and making you sick. Some “natural” preservatives are harsher for your skin than chemically derived preservatives. At Shaw Treatment we use natural ingredients that are high in anti-oxidants and anti-bacterial properties, such as shea butter and jojoba seed oil, along with scientifically proven chemical preservatives to ensure our products are safe for you and your sensitive skin.
Good for sensitive skin
Your skin is a sensitive organ that is constantly absorbing chemicals from your environment. At Shaw Treatment, we believe that everyone's skin should be treated gently. Shaw Treatment products use the safest preservatives we can find and include them at the lowest possible levels(<0.02%). Our fragrance levels are kept extremely low (<0.5%) to prevent irritation. All products are SLS/SLES and sulfate-free and do not contain any petroleum by-products that can irritate sensitive skin. Treating our bodies well, inside and out, keeps us looking and feeling young.

Smelling something good releases endorphins and other "feel-good" chemicals in your brain that boosts your mood, relieves stress and leads to a happier, healthier life. Most products for sensitive skin are labeled “unscented,” but they often smell like chemicals, petroleum or plastic. These scents do not act to improve your state of mind. Shaw Treatment products contain a variety of ingredients that are obtained from all over the globe - from small scale farms to factory farms. It is our intention to obtain ingredients that pay farmers fairly for their agricultural produce such as our organic, fairly traded sugar and our shea butter from northern Togo which supports women and families living with HIV/AIDS and other community projects.

We believe in the recognition and acknowledgment of other cultures and especially those cultures that may be under threat of disintegration. We will strive to limit our impact on the many unique cultures that exist throughout Africa and around the globe. We will further seek to be a voice for cultures under threat of exploitation.

We guarantee to direct more than 25% of every sale towards grass-roots charities working the front lines in Africa. Vegan
Shaw Treatment products do not contain any animal by-products and have not been test on animals. If it has to be tested on animals, it has no business on our skin. We believe that there are many ingredients available to the industry that have proven benefits to our skin that have been successfully used in many cultures around the globe for centuries. We will seek to incorporate natural ingredients that have proven benefits such as shea butter, soy oil, beeswax, tea tree oil, eucalyptus, jojoba, hemp oil, coconut oil and the thousands of other natural and botanical products available on the market. We respect the world we live in and the animals and plants with which we live. Caring for the welfare and conservation of every person, animal, and plant on the planet helps preserve a future for everyone.

Sustainable
We will work to ensure that our ingredients come from agriculturally sustainable regions where forests and other natural resources are not negatively impacted through their growth and production. Palm oil plantations are infringing on orangutan habitats. Certain natural oils such as Indian sandalwood, cannot be harvested sustainably. We consider each of our ingredients carefully so you don’t have to worry. We need to think about the future to maintain wildlife habitats and wild plant species. Each animal and plant that becomes extinct threatens the ability of our planet to sustain life. Shaw Treatment is committed to ensuring that the development, design and manufacture of our products have the least amount of impact on the environment as possible. We work closely with our suppliers and producers to ensure that their environmental standards, policies and practices meet or exceed ours.
Organic
Organic farming promotes a less toxic environment for all living things. It eliminates the use of synthetic chemicals and fertilizers and genetically modified organisms(GMOs), which contaminate water, soil and every living organism including us. Non-organic products that come into direct contact with your skin allow dangerous chemicals to be absorbed into your body. Once absorbed, these chemicals can cause serious health effects, including various cancers that can shorten your life. Living an organic lifestyle means a healthier, happier, longer life.
Biodegradable/Recyclable
For every product we produce, we will ensure that every bottle and container is recyclable and we will ensure that the contents of every bottle are biodegradable. Recycling 1 plastic bottle saves from 100 to 1000 years in the landfill and also saves the environment from the emissions in producing new bottles as well as the oil used to produce that bottle. Recycling 1 ton of plastic saves 7.4 cubic yards of landfill space. Energy saved from recycling helps the environment by reducing energy-related air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. All our products breakdown into their chemical constituents which are safe for flora and fauna.
