Shaw Treatment, is a for-profit social enterprise. We design and market our own brands of body care products. We are attracting and building consumer acceptance of our brands based on a few key elements. They include; use of quality, natural ingredients, a personalized approach to marketing, and donation of net profits (after tax) to grass-roots charities working on relief efforts in Africa.

With such an ambitious mission and set of objectives, we also recognize the importance of continuous product improvement through reinvestment, and research & development.

Shaw Treatment products incorporate the highest quality ingredients. We proudly boast that our products and ingredients; are not tested on animals, are natural and where possible organic, and in some cases also fairly traded such as our shea butter and cocoa butter from Togo, in West Africa. We work diligently to understand how the various combinations of natural oils and fragrant blends will produce the best benefits for your skin and body. We thus do not use any parabens to preserve our products nor do we use Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfates, or petroleum by-products in anything we create.

Special attention is paid to both local and world market trends and the world political climate especially the socio-political climate in many African countries. All have a continued impact on product development, marketing, as well as the charities we look forward to working with. How? Several of our oils and butters come from community groups in Africa. Their welfare is our concern too.

We're taking a personalized approach to marketing and making ourselves as available as possible to our customers. We see more value in providing a face to our company than in remaining ‘faceless’. We're doing this by incorporating some of the web's most popular features such as blogs, Facebook pages and Skype contact. The result is that we recognize the importance of being and remaining available to the people that are enabling us to grow - our customers. We, the cofounders, also take a hands-on approach to all aspects of the company – from product design, marketing, to customer relations.

The inspiration for creating the Shaw Treatment Company, its products, and its principles have come from a variety of sources including; Ryan Hreljac, 12 year old founder of Ryan’s Well Foundation, as well as Oprah Winfrey, talk show host and founder of Oprah’s Angel Network, and the business model created by Paul Newman, founder of Newman's Own Inc. All have played a vital role in helping us see beyond the every day comforts and cost of living in a developed nation.
